Grove Privacy Policy

Grove is a notes app published by Humble Fern LLC. This policy describes what Grove collects and why.

Notes and iCloud

Grove stores your notes on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, notes and related data sync through your personal iCloud account in the container iCloud.com.grove.noteapp. Grove does not operate a notes server.

Transcription

If you run Transcribe on an audio attachment, Grove sends that audio to Deepgram and/or OpenAI to produce text. Do not transcribe audio you do not want those providers to process.

Permissions

Grove requests device permissions only for the matching feature: Face ID (unlock protected notes), microphone and speech (recording / transcription), calendar and reminders (optional system events), photos and files (attachments), and notifications (optional Organize reminders).

Password-protected notes

Password-protected notes stay encrypted on device. Grove cannot read them without the vault password.

Subscriptions

Grove Pro subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
